3 1/2 years
We’ve had a busy summer and fall.  Our summer was filled with baseball games - the Chattanooga Lookouts (the best part is riding the trolley from the parking lot to the stadium) and the rec-league games for our 7 year old friend Johnathon.  Johnathon’s 3 year old brother Christopher is Tucker’s first official “best” friend, and he loves going to play at his house. ...

3 Year Update
I haven’t done an update since last October, and we’ve been plenty busy since then.  We made 2(!) trips over Thanksgiving, one to Pulaski to visit Jason’s mother’s family, and other trip to Smryna, TN (near Nashville) to visit Jason’s father’s family.  We were exhausted by the end of the weekend, but we got to see lots of folks we don’t see very often. For...

Tucker update - 2 1/2 years
It’s hard to believe it’s really Fall, and I guess that’s because it still feels like summer outside.  At any rate, I wanted to send along another update before the holidays are among us and time gets away from me! Tucker is still feisty as ever.  With every passing day, we discover that his temperment is much more like mine than Jason’s (too bad - Jason is MUCH more laid...

Tucker update - 2 years
It’s been six months since my last update and there have been lots of developments in that time.  We have celebrated Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and Tucker enjoyed all three.  He really liked trick-or-treating, especially once he discovered that all he had to do was knock on doors to get candy.  He was anxious to get his goodies and move on to the next house!  We spent Thanksgiving with...

Tucker update - 18 months
It’s hard to believe Tucker is already 18 months old.  In the last 3 months, he has become quite a little parrot - listening even when we think he isn’t (yikes!) and talking tons.  Here are some of his favorite words: chuck - truck, any vehicle is a “chuck”.  Whenever we are driving on the interstate, he sits in the back yelling “chuck! chuck!” everytime a...

Tucker update - 15 months
I hope everyone is enjoying summer.  We just returned from a week in NC visiting with my family.  Tucker had lots of fun with his cousins and friends there.  We even had a fun adventure when I took him to get his haircut at a “kid’s salon” my cousin told me about.  He was able to sit in a car instead of a chair, while watching an Elmo video.  The stylist cut his hair, and then she “styled” it...

Tucker update - 1 year!
Well, it’s official: my baby is not a baby anymore.  Sometime around 10 ½ months, I looked over at Tucker in his highchair and watched him as he smashed cooked carrots with the bottom of his sippy cup – and I realized that he was becoming less of a baby and more of a toddler everyday.  It’s been a quick transformation.  Although he’s always been verbal (lots and lots of...

Tucker update - 9 months
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.  We certainly did.  We made our first long roadtrip to NC to see my family, and since the drive is about 8 hours, we decided to travel at night so that Tucker could sleep.  We were definitely worn out, but it kept Tucker on a reasonable schedule.  Once we got there, Tucker had so much fun meeting all his aunts, uncles and cousins.  As expected, he got...

Tucker update - 6 months
It’s hard to believe our little guy is now 6 months old!  The past 2 months have been lots of fun as we have seen more of his personality emerge.  He’s making lots of babbling noises now, including cute little giggles when he gets tickled.  His biggest milestone in the past 2 months has been learning to eat solid foods.  It took him a while to get the hang of eating from a spoon, but now he sits...

Tucker Update - 4 1/2 months
We’ve had several interesting milestones since my last update at 2 months – Jason’s first Father’s Day, I went back to work, Tucker was baptized, and we made our first trip to the children’s ER!  In the last several weeks, his little personality has started to emerge.  He loves lying on his playmat so he can kick and play.  He’s also started “talking” quite a bit by cooing and babbling.  He can...

Tucker update - 2 months
It has been an eventful month at the Luna house!  We’ve dealt with everything from sickness to a roadtrip to the first day of school.   Our little Tucker has been very fussy lately, especially after each feeding, so I suspected he was having some tummy troubles.  I could tell he was in pain.  After the first of several phone calls to the pediatrician’s office, one of the nurses told me to try...

Tucker update - 1 month
It’s hard to believe that Tucker’s actual due date was just a few days ago, but he’s already a month old!  The last month has been such a whirlwind!  People often ask me if I remember my life before he was born, and I tell them that I do.  I vaguely remember being able to sleep more than 2 or 3 hours at a time, and being able to go anywhere at a moment’s notice.    I have learned a lot in the past...

Introducing Tucker Daniel Luna
Surprise!  Our little Tucker pulled the ultimate April Fool’s joke by making his grand entrance 4 weeks early and catching his parents completely off guard.  In my last baby update, I mentioned being a little grumpy from the usual third trimester discomforts like heartburn, swelling, etc.  The day after I sent that email, my slightly puffy feet become so swollen that I was wearing flip-flops to...
